Wishing Tree

I was very pleased to be asked to bring some Wishing Trees to Bradford University today as part of Ecoversity day. The tree was incredibly popular as the students got into the spirit of the event and wished for the best. “I want to stay here all the time, it is very relax sitting erea with these trees around us.” one of student expressed.

It was so lovely to be able to share a part of my culture with the wide array of students of all nationalities. When I was a child, I used to climb up to the mountains or go to the temple and write down a wish on a piece of red paper and tie it on the branch of a special tree. Trees in temple courtyards were always filled with people's wishes, knots and oranges.

The Wishing tree is about the excitement of making the wish and the anticipation or hope that they may one day come true. A heartfelt wish is always a reflection of one's true emotions, hopes and aspirations.

Best wishes!
